A former National player for Goa and a FIBA-recognized, WABC-certified coach, Andriel FernandesÔÇöwidely known as "Coaching Andy"ÔÇöis a cornerstone of GoaÔÇÖs basketball ecosystem. Driven to elevate local talent through modern training, technical precision, and disciplined conditioning, he founded the dominant KJS Basketball Club in 1996 and later co-founded Sonics Basketball Club. Currently serving as the Head Coach of Sonics Basketball Club and a member of the Goa Basketball Association Selection Committee, Andy has spearheaded major state initiatives, including the Under-17 Basketball League, grassroots 3x3 tournaments, and dedicated women's leagues. Through elite camps, skill clinics, and progressive coaching, he remains dedicated to building robust pathways for Goan athletes to compete and excel at the highest national levels.

Basketball isn't just a game for me. It's been a way of life for over 15 years. I'm Coach Johan Braganca, a WABC Level 1 Certified Basketball Coach and a former player who proudly represented Goa at multiple National Championships. From competing on the court to developing the next generation of players, my passion has always been the same: helping athletes become the best version of themselves. Over the years, I've had the privilege of coaching hundreds of young players across multiple schools and training centres, including St. Britto's High School, St. Mary's School, Green Meadows, Young Achievers, St Francis Xavier's mapusa, Chubby Cheeks, Young Achievers and several other basketball programmes. My coaching philosophy is simple: Learn. Work Hard. Have Fun. Whether you're picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to take your game to the next level, every practice is an opportunity to improve, build confidence, and fall in love with the game.

Basketball has been a part of my life for over 10 years. I am a dedicated coach and player with experience representing Goa. I have trained young players and helped develop their skills and confidence. My coaching focuses on discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement. My goal is to help every player become their best on and off the court.

I started playing in Grade 7 after Coach Andy recognised my potential and invited me to train. Over the years, I had the opportunity to represent Goa as a player and gain valuable experience through competitive basketball. After years of playing and training, I began assisting Coach Johan with coaching in Porvorim. Coaching with Sonics has always been more than just coaching for me, it is my way of giving back to basketball and to the club that has played an important role in my journey. I am passionate about helping young players develop their skills, confidence, discipline, teamwork, and love for the game.

Basketball has been a part of my life for over a decade, ever since I first picked up a ball. IÔÇÖve had the privilege of representing Goa at the National level and winning multiple State Championships and other tournaments. In 2023, I began my coaching journey under Coach Andy and Coach Johan, who helped shape my approach to the game and coaching. Since then, IÔÇÖve had the opportunity to coach and lead teams, be part of successful tournament campaigns, and help players develop both on and off the court. My goal is to share my experience, build confident players, and create teams that play with purpose, passion, and togetherness.
